Sergio was born in Italy, grew up in Venezuela and California, then received his Ph.D. in Physics from The Ohio State University. He has extensive experience in many programming languages and technologies.
There are a number of error correction protocols that provide backwards error correction. These are commonly used to transport media streams from remotes to the content provider, or the content provider to distribution. They allow, for example, streams from a pro basketball game to be transported over public Internet from stadium to network NOC without error; or as another example, packages of ethnic TV channels, to be moved from continent to continent.
